Tehran (IP) - The Jordanian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying: We condemn the approval of the plan to expand settlements in the occupied Golan, which is aimed at perpetuating the occupation and is a clear violation of international law.

Iran Press/West Asia: Yesterday, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement saying that the cabinet unanimously approved Netanyahu's plan to increase population growth in the Golan Heights and the city of Katsina at a cost of over $11 million.

The Israeli Prime Minister also said in this regard: We will continue to develop and build settlements in the Golan, paying attention to its preservation.

Netanyahu added: Strengthening settlements in the Golan means strengthening Israel; an issue that is of great importance at present.

This is even though the Golan Heights are part of Syrian territory, and the international community accepts the Zionist occupation of this part of Syrian territory.
