Iran Press/Asia: The complete withdrawal of the Israeli regime's army from Gaza, and the creation of suitable conditions for the return of Palestinian refugees to their homeland, have been Hamas' main and unchangeable terms in the ceasefire draft between Hamas and Israel.
The withdrawal of the Israeli regime's forces and the exchange of 1,300 Palestinian prisoners with Israeli captives are among the important provisions of the agreement between the parties. The Israeli army has prepared plans for a rapid withdrawal from its positions inside Gaza, especially from southern Gaza and the Philadelphia axis, which is located along the Egyptian-Gazan border. The Israeli delegation also arrived in Qatar earlier to negotiate the release of the Israeli captives.
Palestinian resistance groups are fully aware of the sinister plots and plans of the Zionist regime and their main ally, the US, therefore they will fully accept a ceasefire only when the legitimate and fundamental demands of the Palestinians are fulfilled.
The Qatari Emiri Court reported on Monday, January 13, that a high-ranking delegation from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), headed by Khalil Al-Hayyah, met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and discussed the latest developments in the negotiations to achieve a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry also announced that Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani made a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to discuss the latest developments in the ceasefire talks in Gaza.
Still, Ibrahim Kalin, the Chief of Turkish Intelligence Organization met with the officials of the Hamas political bureau about the ceasefire talks and the exchange of captives between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
Negotiations on the second phase for the "permanent ceasefire" will begin during the first phase. In the second phase, the remaining Zionist captives, as well as Palestinians jailed in the Zionist prisons, will be released en masse.
Meanwhile, internal disputes in Tel Aviv have increased, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is putting pressure on some of his ministers, including Public Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who oppose the general framework of the ceasefire agreement with the Hamas movement on the prisoner exchange with Tel Aviv.
In recent months, numerous negotiations have been held with the participation of mediating countries for a ceasefire in Gaza, but each time these talks have failed due to the excessive demands and disloyalty of the Israeli regime and its main ally, the US.
The extremist Zionists in the warmongering cabinet of Netanyahu are unwilling to accept a halt to the war in Gaza and have threatened Netanyahu that they will leave the cabinet if a ceasefire is implemented.
The continued successful operations of Palestinian resistance groups after Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and daily internal protests in the occupied territories, along with the dissatisfaction of the families of Zionist captives with Netanyahu's performance and his failure to return the captives, were among the important factors that forced the Israeli Prime Minister to accept the draft ceasefire agreement after more than one year of genocide in Gaza.
