Tehran (IP) - The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the martyrdom of seven of its military advisors in Syria, victims of an Israeli airstrike targeting Iran's consulate in Damascus.

Iran PressIran news: The IRGC's statement emphasized that this assault by the Israeli regime came in the wake of "irreparable defeats" of the Zionist regime at the hands of the Palestinian Resistance and the enduring resilience of the people of Gaza. The Israeli airstrikes on the consulate building, according to the IRGC, were a direct consequence of these defeats.

The names of the martyred advisors — Mohammad Reza Zahedi, Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, Hossein Amanollahi, Seyyed Mahdi Jelalati, Mohsen Sedaghat, Ali Agha Babaei, and Seyyed Ali Salehi Rouzbehani — were released.

In response to the attack, Iranian officials, including Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani, have voiced strong condemnation and signaled Tehran's intent to retain its right to respond. The nature of this potential retaliation remains unspecified, but the firm language suggests a readiness to take decisive actions against the aggression by the Israeli regime.
