Kermanshah (IP) – Major General Hossein Salami, the Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), cautioned Israel against relying on U.S.-supplied missile defense systems.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking in reference to the deployment of the American THAAD system in Israel, Salami warned that these systems are limited in capacity and that Israel should not place its trust in them.

Speaking at the National Congress honoring the 9,800 martyrs from Kermanshah province, Salami addressed the Israeli regime, stating, “Do not rely on THAAD missiles. They are limited, and you are depending on a restricted source of power.”

He further warned Israel that attempting to escalate the situation would lead to a disproportionate response. "For every missile you fire, your enemies will respond with many more. You cannot win this scenario, and we will defeat you."

Strategic Warnings to Israel

The IRGC commander also pointed out Israel's economic vulnerability, emphasizing its dependence on maritime trade. “A small land that relies on the sea for 98% of its economy must think more carefully. Unwise decisions can accelerate the collapse of a regime,” he added, suggesting that Israel’s strategic miscalculations could hasten its downfall.

Criticism of U.S. Support

Salami also criticized the United States for its support of Israel, staitng that Washington had tied its political standing to Israel's "criminal actions." He stated, "The Americans are making a mistake by linking their political reputation to these crimes, making themselves hated and isolated among the world's nations. Today, the world knows the U.S. for the bombs that fall on the children of Gaza and Lebanon. What remains of America’s superpower status is crumbling, and that too will not last long."
