Iraqi parliament urges coalescence over US troops expulsion

A member of the Iraqi parliament called for the unification of political groups and the Iraqi government over the expulsion of US troops from the Middle Eastern country.

Iran PressMiddle East: "Iraq is facing many problems, including the presence of US troops, terrorist elements in the west and north, and the lack of a unified political decision," Iraqi MP Nada Shaker Jawdat was quoted as saying by Al-Maalouma news agency on Tuesday.

Jawdat added that political groups and the Iraqi government must act to end the presence of foreign troops in Iraq.

Al-Fateh Alliance MP Fadhil Al-Fatlawi also said that the parliament would put an end to the Iraqi government's delay in implementing the decision to expel US troops from all parts of Iraq.

On January 5, 2020, the Iraqi parliament approved a plan of US troops' withdrawal from Iraq.

The Iraqi people and groups also want the withdrawal of American terrorist forces from Iraq.
