IP - The government of Iraq announced three days of public mourning in this country on the occasion of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah.

Iran Press/West Asia: In a statement, the information office of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani announced: Following the martyrdom of the Secretary General of Hezbollah, the Prime Minister ordered the announcement of three days of public mourning throughout Iraq.

Al-Sudani himself emphasized by issuing a statement: Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah was martyred in a new criminal attack and a crime that proves the Zionist regime's violation of all red lines.

Al-Sudani said: "The criminal act that targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut yesterday shows a reckless desire to expand the scope of the conflict, which will harm all the people of the region and its security and stability."

He added: Major issues, including the just issue of Palestine and the confrontation of Brother Lebanon, with the constant attacks of the Zionists, all prove that the nations will win in the end in their land, their historical homeland, and their heritage.

Al-Sudani further emphasized the need for international organizations to fulfill their duties to stop the aggression of the Zionist regime.

He also emphasized Iraq's firm position in supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese people.

Also, the Syrian government announced public mourning in the country this Saturday. Damascus announced 3 days of public mourning. Also, the country's flags were at half-mast.

Lebanon's Hezbollah confirmed in a statement today (Saturday) that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of this movement, was martyred in the Zionist regime's criminal attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The Israeli army targeted a residential area in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday evening. In addition to the martyrdom and wounding of dozens of Lebanese, this attack left widespread destruction. 204
