Tehran (IP) - In a significant historical event, the Ten-Day Fajr (Ten-Day Dawn) period commenced on February 1, and serves as a commemoration of the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini's return to Iran and the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: The event marks the Fajr decade which is a ten-day celebration of the return of the Late Founder of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

To mark the 45th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution and the holy days of the Fajr Celebration, the Iranian President and the members of the cabinet renewed their allegiance with the ideals of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution by attending the Holy Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA).

On 1 February 1979, Ayatollah Khomeini returned to Tehran after a period of exile in France imposed by the Shah of Iran, Muhammad Reza Pahlavi. Several million people went to Mehrabad International Airport to welcome Imam Khomeini.
