Eid al-Adha is one of the two blessed Eids (Celebration) for Muslims. It falls in the 12th and final month of the Islamic calendar, Dhul Hijjah.
Eid al-Adha is celebrated to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah. It symbolizes faith, devotion, and submission to Allah’s commands.
On Monday morning, People across different Iranian cities perform the Eid prayers. In the capital, Tehran, the prayers were held at the University of Tehran.
Eid al-Adha is celebrated by Muslims across the world. Muslims visit their friends and relatives on Eid to celebrate the occasion.
After performing the Eid prayer, Muslims offer a sacrifice, a Halal Animal Like Sheep, Cow, or Camel which is called "Qurbani" and distribute the meat to family, friends, and those in need.
