Tehran (IP) - Iranians take to the streets near Palestine Square in Tehran to condemn Israeli airstrikes near the Iranian embassy in Damascus. In this gathering, the Iranian people demanded a decisive response to this heinous crime by the Israeli regime.

Iran PressIran news: The Iranian consulate building near the Iranian Embassy in the Syrian capital of Damascus came under an Israeli missile strike on Monday afternoon, with reports of casualties as a result of the aggression. 

The Iranian people in this demonstration chanted slogans "Down to the Israeli regime", Down to the US".

"Six people were reported martyred in the attack including commander of IRGC's Quds Force in Lebanon and Syria, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, was martyred in the Israeli aggression on Damascus".

Syria's official news agency, SANA, said the strikes were carried out by “the Israeli enemy” and targeted the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus on Monday afternoon.

Sana, citing one of its correspondents, said "The Israeli aggression caused major destruction to the building, in addition to damage to neighboring buildings." 219
