The heavyweight star of Iran's wrestling team, with a strategic match, defeated experienced Turkish wrestler Taha Akgul and advanced to the final

 Iran PressEurope:   The representative of Iran in the 125 kg freestyle wrestling category reached the final of the Paris Olympics by defeating his renowned Turkish opponent.

The freestyle wrestling competitions at the Paris Olympics continued with matches in the 74 kg and 125 kg categories starting at 11 AM local time (12:30 PM Iran time). Iranian wrestlers in these weight categories faced their opponents in these rounds.

The semifinals for these two weight classes began at 7:30 PM Tehran time.In the 125 kg category, which featured 16 participants, Amirhossein Zare’ won his first match 5-0 against Ayal Lazarev from Kyrgyzstan.

He then defeated Canadian wrestler Desi with a score of 10-0, advancing to the semifinals.

In the semifinal, Zare faced Taha Akgul, the world and Olympic champion from Turkey. The match ended with a 2-1 victory for Zare, securing his spot in the final.
