Iran Press/ Europe: Iran's national Taekwondo player Nahid Kiani -58kg won the silver medal on Saturday in the final match after being defeated by her Spanish opponent.
women's - 67 and +67 kg and men's - 58 kg competitions were held on the second day of the Roma 2023 World Taekwondo Grand-Prix where Iranian male taekwondo player Abolfazl Zandi grabbed the bronze medal.
Mahdi Haji Mousai, the Iranian male taekwondo player, despite an acceptable performance in the final match against the Spanish opponent, was defeated and grabbed the silver medal.
Bijan Moghanloo is the head coach of Iran's men's national taekwondo team. And Minoo Maddah is the head coach of Iran's women's national team.
Pointing to Iran's national taekwondo's acceptable performance, the president of the Iran Taekwondo Federation Hadi Saei, in an interview with IranPress correspondence said that by the end of the second day, Nahid Kiani and Mahdi Haji Mousai won two silver medals, and Abolfazl Zandi won a bronze medal.
Stating that Nahid Kiani has already won the gold medal of the world championships and the silver medal of the Roma 2023 World Taekwondo Grand-Prix, Saei stated that Iranian female taekwondo player Nahid Kiani's participation in Paris 2024 Olympic Games is almost probable.
