Iranian taekwondo athletes have wrapped up their performance at the Rome Grand Prix with an impressive haul of five medals.

Iran PressEurope: The competition, which awards Olympic ranking points, took place in Rome, Italy from Friday to Sunday.

On the final day of the event, Mobina Nematzadeh competed against Panipak from Thailand in the women's weight minus 49 kg semi-final and secured a bronze medal after losing.

In the men's minus 80 kg weight category, Mehran Barkhordari faced off against Saleh al-Sharbati from Jordan in the final and won a silver medal after a tough and breathtaking fight that lasted three rounds.

Overall, the Iranian team finished with three silver medals (Nahid Kiyani, Mehdi Haji-Mosaei, and Mehran Barkhordari) and two bronze medals (Abolfazl Zandi and Mobina Nematzadeh).
