Iranian students snatched 5 gold medals in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) and stood first in the world.

Iran PressAmerica: Hannaneh Khorram-Dashti, Arvin Rasoulzadeh, Mohammad-Mahdi Keshavarzi, Ariya Fateh-Kerdari, and Ali Naderi, respectively one girl and 4 boys, won the gold medals for Iran. 

The contest was held in Brazil, from August 17 to 27, where more than 250 students from 57 countries participated.
