ISLAMABAD(IP)- Pakistani Member of the National Assembly, Malik Shakir Awan, welcomed the upcoming visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Pakistan, emphasizing the longstanding and close relations between the two neighboring countries.

Iran Press/Asia: Awan highlighted Iran's consistent support for Pakistan during challenging times, underscoring the mutual care and assistance shared between the two nations.

In an interview with Iran Press, Awan stated, "The visit of the Iranian president is a testament to the enduring bond between Iran and Pakistan. As significant Islamic nations with sizable populations, it is imperative to further strengthen the fraternal relationship between our countries and prevent incidents of terrorism in border areas."

Addressing the recent defensive operation conducted by Iran against Israel, Awan condemned the ongoing brutality inflicted on Palestinians by Israel and urged unity among Muslim nations in denouncing such atrocities. He called for collective action to halt the oppression faced by Palestinians and emphasized the need for a unified stance against Israel's aggression.

The visit of President Raisi to Pakistan is scheduled for April 22, as reported by Pakistani newspaper The News.
