In an Interview with Iran press Correspondent,Heshmat allah Falahat Pisheh added, Iran is a country that can not be isolated in the world.Iran is a country that needs to attract $ 63 billion in foreign investment annually.
He also said,Iran is the country with the highest gross domestic product revenues worldwide.
Falahat pishesh added,Iran is a country that needs to have constructive engagement with the rest of the world.And the presence of Iran in the international conventions like International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, makes this country a owner of the idea for many international issues as well.
He said,If protests by MPs are inappropriate for joining the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, We can expect Iran to join this.
A Tuesday session of the Iranian parliament saw fierce disputation over the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, as a group of lawmakers demanded careful scrutiny of the convention before voting on Iran’s accession to it.
The Terrorist Financing Convention is a 1999 United Nations treaty designed to criminalize acts of financing acts of terrorism.
Those opposing accession to the convention see no problem in striving to prevent financial support for terrorists. Their concern, rather, is that certain countries could exploit the convention to target resistance groups in the name of confronting terrorism.
