Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, Iran's ambassador to Pakistan

Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, Iran's ambassador to Pakistan, regarded the resistance of the Iranian people as the cause of the White House policies' failure towards Tehran.

Iran PressAsia: Speaking on Monday at a special meeting of officers and military graduates of the National Defense University of Pakistan in Islamabad, Hosseini referred to US hostile policies against the Iranian nation, stating that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the US with various options such as proxy wars, terrorist attacks, martyring and assassinating intellectuals and elites, imposing sanctions and other similar measures, tried to bring the Iranian republic-Islamic system to its knees; but failed with the resistance of the Iranian people.

The Iranian ambassador to Pakistan added that the opposition of the majority of members of the UN Security Council to the extension of the arms embargo on Iran is another example of US defeats against the nation.

Hosseini also stressed the need for regional countries to be vigilant against US conspiracies, saying that all countries in the region must work together and resist the hostility that has targeted the entire region and Islamic countries.

Referring to the relations between the two countries, the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan also said that there are clear signs that the people of Iran and Pakistan want an interdependent economy and a desire for regional security and stability.

He noted that Chabahar port in Iran and Gwadar port in Pakistan have great potential for strengthening the relationship between the economies of the two countries and all countries in the region.
