Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's Foreign Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani talked in a telephone conversation on Thursday about the issues of interest to the two countries.
Iran's FM Amir-Abdollahian appreciated the constructive role of Qatar in pursuing the release of Iran's assets blocked in South Korea under US pressure.
Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, for his part, expressed his satisfaction over the progress in some issues related to the Islamic Republic and third parties.
He reported the finalization of all processes related to the transfer of Iran's financial assets to Qatari banks during the next week.
The two FMs emphasized the continuation of bilateral consultations in the areas of interest.
Iran-Qatar relations are considered among the stable and friendly relations in the West Asian region, which have experienced the least ebbs and flows because of the parties' mutual understanding and foreign policy pattern.
