Tehran (IP) - The Foreign Ministers of Malaysia, Zambry Abdul Kadir, and Iran, Hossein Amirabdollahian, had a phone conversation to discuss various issues related to their countries, the region, and the world.

Iran PressIran News: During the call, FM Amirabdollahian extended his greetings to his Malaysian counterpart for the holy month of Ramadan and emphasized the strong cultural and religious ties between the two nations. He expressed his desire for the expansion of the relationship between Iran and Malaysia in all areas and praised Malaysia for its support of Palestine.

He also urged Islamic countries to take effective measures to help the Palestinian people, particularly on the upcoming international Quds Day.

FM Abdul Kadir reciprocated the Ramadan greetings and acknowledged Iran as a significant trade partner.

He expressed his hope for further expansion of bilateral ties and highlighted the potential for peace and stability in the West Asia region through the restoration of ties between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The two Foreign Ministers also discussed other global developments, including the situation in Afghanistan and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
