The spokesman for Iran's judiciary, announced the sentences for several people accused of disturbing the economic system.

Iran Press/ Iran: Hojjat-ol-Islam Gholam Hussein Mohseni Ejei said in a news conference on Sunday that several economic corrupters sentenced to various punishments like imprisonment and fined for various offences, such as bribery and fraud, Iran Press reported.

"Iran's judiciary has put the "public right" as one of its most priorities", Ejei said.

He also explained about a letter on "money laundering", by Iranian Foreign minister "Mohammad Javad Zarif" to the Attorney General and said: "I wrote a letter to Tehran prosecutor, and the Attorney General also wrote a letter to the foreign minister himself."

He continued: "Money laundering happens in all over the world, including in our country, and some people have key cases in this regard. So the opponents of these bills are accused of "Money Laundering". This is while, the minister has emphasized in his letter that he didn't meant a particular person."

Following recent statement by Iran's foreign minister, "Mohammad Javad Zarif" over money laundering in the country, and the necessity to deal with this phenomenon, it was said that the Attorney General asked Zarif through a letter to submit its own documentation on money laundering to the judiciary.

In another part of his remarks, the spokesman for Iran's judiciary pointed to the recent terrorist attacks in Ahvaaz, and said: "about ten to twenty people have been arrested till now, but their trial has not been started yet."

He added: "These suspects certainly are connected and received support from abroad, but foreign nationals are not among the people arrested over Chabahar terrorist bomb attack."
