Rome (IP) – A gallery of historical Iranian photos, themed 'Iran-Italy cultural interaction' is underway in the Italian capital city of Rome.

Iran PressEurope: The exhibition has been set up with the cooperation of the Office of Iran's Cultural Attache in Italy, Iran's Golestan Museum Palace, and the International Association for Mediterranean, Oriental Studies (ISMEO) and Treccani Encyclopedia. 

More than 50 historical photos of sightseeing places, historical monuments, touristic places, Iranian culture, music, and celebrities in the Qajar period have been exposed to the visitors.

The expo is underway for one week (from February 15 to 21, 2024) at the Treccani Encyclopedia Institute in the center of Rome.

These photos were taken by Italian and Iranian photographers. The Golestan Museum has a unique treasure of photos from the Qajar era in Iran.

The Head of Treccani Encyclopedia Institute Massimo Bray, Iran's cultural Attach in Rome Mohammad-Taghi Amini, and the Head of ISMEO Adriano Rossi visited the Iranian photo expo in Italy. 

Mohammad-Taghi Amini told Iran Press correspondent in Rome that cultural ties are the basis for mutual understanding and expansion of Iran-Italy relations, noting: "Holding an exhibition of Italian and Iranian photographers for the first time in Rome is a big step toward the development of relations between the two countries."

Also, Adriano Rossi told Iran Press hailed the expo and expressed hope that Iran-Italy cultural relations move forward to become stronger.  219
