Iran Press/Iran News: Saeed Khatibzadeh on Thursday night referring that the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet received a complaint from Canada, said: "It is clear that the Canadian court has no jurisdiction over what happened outside its jurisdiction area."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman added: "This case is being pursued with both accuracy and seriousness in the two directions of negotiations with the Ukrainian government and judicial proceedings inside Iran.
Khatibzadeh said: "In connection with the Ukrainian government, this issue has been negotiated within the framework of international treaties and conventions accepted by Iran, and soon a delegation from Ukraine will come to Iran to continue these negotiations."
The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry reiterated: "If the Canadian government really intends to help the bereaved families of this incident, it must stop these political shows with special motives."
The Boeing 737-800 plane belonging to Ukraine International Airlines crashed near Tehran minutes after the plane had taken-off from Imam Khomeini International Airport in the early hours of January 8.
All the 167 passengers and 9 crew members on board were killed in the tragic incident.
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said in a statement that the Ukrainian Boeing 737 plane was shot down due to human error at a time of heightened tensions and a threat of war with the US.
