Iranian foreign minister congratulated Alicia Bárcena on her appointment as the new foreign minister of Mexico.

Iran PressAmerica: The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, wrote a message on his Twitter page, saying: "I am sure that the friendly and long-standing relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United Mexican States will be further strengthened during her tenure in all areas of interest to the two countries."

Mexico is an independent country located in North America and the 14th largest country in terms of size, the 10th most populated country in the world, its capital is Mexico City and its official language is Spanish.
