Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who had left for this country on Wednesday evening (March 27) to consult with the high officials of Turkmenistan, arrived at the Ashgabat airport being welcomed by the officials of Turkmenistan.
Discussions on issues of mutual interest, especially economic and commercial issues, transit, energy, and the fight against terrorism, will be among the most important topics discussed during this trip.
On this trip, Kazemi Qomi, Iran's President's Special envoy for Afghanistan Affairs, Mojtaba Demirchilu, Director General of Eurasia, and Alireza Mahmoudi, Director General of Consular Affairs of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accompany Amir- Abdollahian.
Iran and Turkmenistan signed 5 cooperation documents in the fields of transit, electricity, gas, trade and investment between the two countries during last year's visit of the head of Turkmenistan's People's Expediency Council and former president of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Tehran.
