Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement’s Secretary General Ziad Nakhaleh discussed the latest political and battlefield developments in Palestine and Gaza on the phone.
Nakhaleh warmly greeted Imam Khamenei and the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran and wished the Iranian government and people a happy New Year and Ramadan.
He then briefed Amir-Abdollahian on the latest political and battlefield developments in Palestine and Gaza.
Nakhaleh described the strength and high morale of the resistance front after about six months of the Zionist regime's invasion of Gaza as excellent.
He praised the regional and international diplomatic efforts as well as measures by the Islamic Republic of Iran and efforts of the Iranian president, Ebrahim Raisi, in supporting the Palestinian people and resistance.
The secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad further described unity and battlefield cohesion among Palestinian resistance groups as the key to the success and victory of the Palestinian people against the killing machine of the Zionist enemy. Nakhaleh underlined that coordination is also evident between Palestinian groups, especially between Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, in supporting Palestinian national goals in political negotiations.
Amir-Abdollahian for his part honored the historical resistance of the Palestinian people against the usurping Zionist regime and informed Nakhale about the latest consultations and diplomatic efforts by the Islamic Republic of Iran in favor of Palestine.
The Iranian foreign minister also stressed the need for immediate action by the responsible international organizations to stop the killing of homeless people including women and children in Gaza and the West Bank and to send international humanitarian aid immediately and without restrictions to all residents of Gaza in all areas.
Amir-Abdollahian added that the developments in Gaza in the last six months exposed the inhuman nature of the Zionists and the White House's support for genocide to the young generation and the people of the world. The whole world clearly understood that the defense of human rights and the rights of women and children is a political tool for the West.
