A memorial event commemorating the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Ismail Haniyeh on the anniversary of the "Al-Aqsa Storm" was organized by the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in South Africa.

Iran Press/Africa: The gathering took place at the "Solidarity with Palestine" forum under the theme "The Power of Culture and Education as Tools for Positive Change."

The event was held at the Cultural Attaché building in Johannesburg on Monday at 2:00 PM, with the attendance of representatives from government ministries, political parties, ambassadors, diplomats, the BRICS South Africa delegation, university professors, prominent figures, cultural and religious institutions, Sunni Muslim brothers, and a large number of interested citizens.

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah Secretary General of the Lebanon Hezbollah movement along with Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and a veteran commander and military advisor in Lebanon, was martyred in a "terrorist attack" carried out by the Zionist Israeli regime in Beirut's southern suburbs last Friday.

Before this also Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas' Political Leader was assassinated in an attack on his residence in the early hours of July 31, in the Iranian capital Tehran, where he had attended the swearing-in ceremony of Iran’s newly-elected president, Masoud Pezeshkian.
