Iran Press/ Iran news: The MKO terrorist group is responsible for the killing of over 17,000 Iranian citizens and officials during the 1980s. Its members now live in exile and are scattered across Western countries. It was once recognized as a terrorist group internationally, but Western states pushed for its removal from the list of terror organizations after they figured they could use the group to carry out their anti-Iran operations.
The trial is presided over by Judge Amir-Reza Dehghani. At the beginning of the session, Judge Dehghani expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah and said: "The martyrdom of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah by the Israeli regime teaches the world's people that the United Nations cannot be trusted in any way to deal with terrorists."
Commanding terrorist operations from the heart of the United Nations and assassinating powerful leaders of the Axis of Resistance is a stain that will never be removed from the civilization claiming peace and fighting terrorism, he added.
Following the session one of the witnesses told the court: "Maryam Rajavi confessed to the assassination of Martyr Dastgheib, Ashrafi Esfahani, and Sayad Shirazi and named them with pride. She also confessed to the bombing on 28 June 1981."
He said that none of the members of the Mojahedin organization had the right to listen to radio and television news, especially about Iran.
The witness said: "During my membership in the Mojahedin Organization, I did not have the right to meet my family members, we were not even allowed to make phone calls."
