Beijing (IP) - The commander of Iran's police announced its readiness to form a joint scientific team for bilateral cooperation with China.

Iran PressIran news: Brigadier General Ahmadreza Radan, in a meeting with the head of the Technology Research Center of the Ministry of Public Security of China in Beijing, said: This center in China has provided the police with the latest scientific and technical findings.

Brigadier General Radan also visited the Technology Research Center of the Ministry of Public Security of China and said: "It is important that the center has succeeded in improving the capabilities of the police by using modern equipment." The head of the Technology Research Center of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China also said: In the framework of cooperation, the Chinese police will also use the valuable experiences of the Iranian police.

Iranian Police Chief also met with Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong on Tuesday.

Radan expressed Iran's willingness to advance exchanges and cooperation steadily with China in the field of law enforcement.

In the meeting, Wang also expressed the hope that the two sides would work together to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, noting that the leaders met twice in 2023 to steer the direction of the development of China-Iran relations.

Wang also expressed the hope that the two sides would maintain regular strategic communication, strengthen practical cooperation in areas such as counter-terrorism, combating transnational crime and law enforcement capacity building, and continuously upgrade law enforcement and security cooperation to contribute to the security and stability of the two countries and the region.

Wang and Radan jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on law enforcement cooperation after the meeting.
