Iran Press/ West Asia: The funeral ceremony of the commanders martyred in the Israeli attack on Iran's consulate in Damascus was held in Syria with the participation of the Syrian Defense Minister and the Iranian Ambassador to Damascus, on Wednesday in the capital city of Syria.
The Iranian Ambassador appreciated the world's countries for acknowledging the Israeli action as an aggression against Iran and Syria.
Hossein Akbari recalled that Iran and Syria knew from 50 years ago the terrorist nature of the Israeli regime and that today the whole world has truly recognized the nature.
Akbari referred to the UN's responsibility for the issue and said: "I think that the UN must defend its reputation, otherwise it will be mired."
The Israeli regime targeted the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus on Monday afternoon, which caused significant damage to the consulate building and neighboring structures and the martyrdom of 7 Iranian military advisors to the Syrian Army.
