Iran Press/ Iran news: In a phone conversation on Sunday night, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan discussed the relations between Tehran and Riyadh, as well as the latest regional developments including Iran's missiles response to Israeli regime aggressions.
The top Iranian diplomat told Faisal bin Farhan about Tehran's diplomatic efforts and measures in the past two weeks to legally and internationally pursue the illegal Israeli actions.
He also said that the country's retaliatory attack against Israel was a legitimate defensive action in the framework of Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations.
The top Saudi diplomat, for his part, emphasized the need for expanding the regional and international cooperation between the two countries.
In response to the Israeli attack on Iran's consulate building in Damascus the capital city of Syria on April 1, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked targets in occupied Palestine with dozens of drones and barrages of missiles early on Sunday.
