Iran Press/Middle East: During a meeting on Monday, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sanaa, Hassan Irloo, met with the Yemeni Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Abdul Malik al-Thawr, to discuss agriculture and ways to expand cooperation.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran while noting the cooperation between Tehran and Sana'a, emphasized Iran's ability to produce plant seeds and increasing their efficiency, productivity.
Iranian ambassador stated this has led Iran to overcome economic sanctions in this area.
Hassan Irloo also announced Iran's readiness to support Yemen in the field of agriculture, and at the same time said that Yemen is a country with a lot of potential for agriculture which will enable it to make a very good leap in this sector.
Abdul Malik al-Thawr also stressed the importance of coordination between the two countries in order to prepare a protocol for cooperation in the field of agriculture and training of agricultural engineers in postgraduate studies.
