Iran Press/West Asia: Iran's senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on Thursday arrived in the Syrian capital of Damascus and held meetings with senior Syrian officials including President Bashar Assad.
Larijani arrived at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport early on Friday to engage in discussions with senior Lebanese officials like Najib Mikati, caretaker Prime Minister, and Nabieh Berri, Speaker of Lebanon Parliament.
Ali Larijani Reaffirms Iran's Support for Lebanon Amid Ongoing Crisis
On Friday evening, Larijani held a meeting with a number of MPs, party leaders, and political figures at the Iranian embassy in Beirut and attended a press briefing.
Larijani called his meeting with President Assad and PM Mikati hailed "valuable Negotiations" and said that It was reassuring for me that the Resistance Front in Lebanon defends the people and the security of Lebanon.
Larijani told reporters that the Islamic Republic of Iran will always support the brave people of Syria, Lebanon, and the Resistance, and expressed hope that the people of Lebanon will have a good situation in the coming days.
Larijani about his meeting in Syria said that he had a fruitful meeting with Bashar al-Assad and added that in Lebanon, "I discussed important issues related to regional developments with Nabih Berri and Najib Mikati.
In response to a question about the message he conveyed from Iran Leader to Nabih Berri, Larijani explained: " As I have previously said this issue will be discussed by Mr Berri as he knows suitable.
Larijani's visit to Syria and Lebanon was conducted to affirm Iran's continued commitment to supporting the Lebanese resistance and strengthening bilateral relations with Lebanese political forces, with a focus on supporting the steadfastness of the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples in the face of challenges created by the Zionist regime.
