The head of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce announced in a conference that the trade between Iran and Uzbekistan will increase to $ 1 billion.

Iran press/ Asia: Iran and Uzbekistan trade conference was held in Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) in the presence of the industry ministers of the two countries. 

Economic cooperation between Iran and Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, has increased significantly in recent months.

Pointing to the primary goal of developing trade between the two countries, the head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Gholam-Hossein Shafei stressed the increase of trade with Uzbekistan from $400 million to $1 billion, which we will be achieved by the end of 2023. 

"Iran's private sector is benefiting Uzbek investors in various sectors of oil, gas, petrochemicals, renewable energies, water supply projects, power plant industry, high-speed trains, agriculture, tourism, and hospitality," added Shafei, pointing to the interest of Iran's private sector to increasing cooperation between the two Tehran and Tashkent.
