Geneva (IP) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran demanded the serious action of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip.

Iran PressEurope: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, in a meeting with Volker Türk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland, pointed out that the systematic violation of human rights in the Gaza Strip has been turned into the disaster of the century by the genocidal regime of Israel,  and he called for serious and effective action to stop this disaster.

Amir-Abdollahian considered the humanitarian conditions in Rafah to be on the verge of becoming a disaster and said that the United Nations must take serious action in this regard.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran also considered the formation of a fact-finding committee about the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip within the framework of the responsibility of the United Nations Human Rights Council and emphasized that the United Nations should not be allowed to be discredited as a result of the situation in the Gaza Strip.

"Volker Türk" also expressed regret and deep concern about the critical situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and said that he would continue efforts to reduce the crisis in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and create peace in the region.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, stating that the Palestinian crisis does not have a military solution, emphasized finding a political solution to end this crisis.
