'The Islamic Republic of Iran supports any measure which is in line with the interests of Kashmiri people,' Bahram Qasemi said on Monday.
India-administered Kashmir witnessed unrests over the weekend and Indian authorities declared that 20 people died during clashes in the latest eruption of violence in the region, dispatches reported.
Nuclear-armed India and Pakistan each control parts of the fraught Himalayan region, but both claim it in its entirety.
Qasemi said that Iran is ready to help de-escalation of tensions if the two sides of the conflict demand for the Islamic Republic's mediation.
The spokesman also expressed sorrow for the recent clashes in the Muslim majority region that claimed the life of at least 20 people and resulted the injury of at least 70 others.
India and Pakistan have fought three wars, two of which were directly over the disputed region of Kashmir.
