Iran PressIran news: The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a telephone conversation with the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, emphasized the need to stop the crimes of the Israeli regime and stated: "It is necessary to stop the military attacks of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza as soon as possible and the ground would be paved to send humanitarian aid."

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Josep Borrell exchanged views on the latest developments in Gaza and the cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency on Saturday night.

In this phone conversation, both sides stressed the need to stop the war in Gaza as soon as possible.

Iran's top diplomat warned against the Zionist regime's design and action to forcibly displace Palestinians from their homeland and emphasized: "The root of the current situation is the occupation and aggression of the Zionist regime, and if the Israeli regime's war crimes against Gaza and the West Bank continues, there is a possibility of a deep expansion of the scope of the war in the region."

Amir-Abdollahian considered the supportive policies of the United States as an incentive for the Zionist regime to continue military aggression and killing civilians in Gaza, as well as an important factor in the continuation and expansion of the war.

In another part of this conversation, while referring to the latest state of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, The Iranian Foreign Minister pointed out that this cooperation will continue within the technical and legal framework.

The EU foreign affairs chief also stated: "It is necessary to stop the tensions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank as soon as possible."

Josep Borrell emphasized: "The European Union is trying to oblige the Israeli regime to respect international law."

While emphasizing the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in reducing tensions in the region, he added: "We also believe that the solution to the Palestinian issue is to focus on the diplomatic path, and any continuation of military attacks will lead to the escalation of the crisis."

Borrell also expressed hope that constructive cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency will continue. 219
