Dhaka (IP) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs in a meeting with the State Minister of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Bangladesh, emphasized joint cooperation with the country in international and regional forums.

Iran PressAsia: According to Iran Press news agency Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Ali Bagheri, met Shahriar Alam, State Minister of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Bangladesh, during his trip to Bangladesh.

In this meeting, the two sides emphasized joint cooperation in international and regional forums, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) of the OIC Member States, and the closer cooperation of the two Economic Cooperation Organizations and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation was considered necessary for the promotion of regional economic cooperation.

Also, on the first day of his official visit to Bangladesh, Bagheri met with Muhammad Faruk Khan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Parliament, and discussed the exchange of parliamentary delegations, including the heads of the two parliaments, foreign policy commissions and parliamentary friendship groups to promote interactions between the two parliaments of Iran and Bangladesh emphasized.
