Geneva (IP) - Having attended the meeting of the parliamentary section of the Non-Aligned Movement on the sidelines of the 148th assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, Iran's parliamentarian said that the capacities of these international institutions can be used to stop the genocide of Palestinians by the Israelis.

Iran Press/ Europe: Mojtaba Yousefi, in an exclusive interview with Iran press correspondent in Geneva, added that one of the capacities of international assemblies is the role of parliaments, where representatives of member assemblies of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Non-Aligned Movement gather from time to time, and the parliamentary capacity of these institutions can be used to condemn the usurping and child-killing Israeli regime.

The Iranian Parliamentarian emphasized that the United Nations and human rights advocates have lost their function adding that Unfortunately, human rights advocates have not been effective against the genocide of more than 32,000 Palestinians, including women and children, in the Gaza Strip.

Yousefi emphasized that an effort was made to use the capacities of the parliamentary section of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Non-Aligned Movement to stop the war machine of the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip with an active presence in Geneva.

The third meeting of the parliamentary section of the member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement was held in Geneva with the presence of representatives of sixty member states, hosted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the sidelines of the 148th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, and with the presence of the Iranian parliamentary delegation headed by Mojtaba Yousefi.
