IP - Iran's Foreign Minister in an interview with ABC News in New York, emphasized the need to stop the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and the need to ensure the security of the Red Sea.

Iran PressAmerica: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran about the security situation in the Read Sea and the need to ensure the security of the Red Sea, said: " This is the decision made by the Yemenis to support the people of Palestine and I believe what they did, their decision is the brave one."

Criticizing the US arms aid to the Zionist regime in the killing of innocent people in Gaza, Amir-Abdollahian pointed to the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to return stability and peace to the region noting that Iran fought the ISIS terrorist group for years in Iraq, and Syria and the best Iranian military advisers were martyred by terrorists in these countries.

Emphasizing the necessity of the dynamic role of the United Nations in international peace and security, and stating that no one will benefit from war, Iran's foreign minister said: "The US must know that security in the region will not be achieved through war and military action. Our region is the region of great historical civilizations, and we should speak with civilized expression and language and respect the owners of great civilizations."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran considered the root of the conflicts in Palestine to be more than seven decades of occupation by the Zionist regime and added that, in the eyes of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is a Palestinian liberation movement that has stood against the occupation.

"We consider Hamas a Palestinian liberation group that is standing against occupation," Amir-Abdollahian said. "Of course, we never approved the killing of women and children, civilians anywhere in the world. We never support it," the Iranian Foreign Minister said.

Iran's top diplomat also said in another part of his conversation about the negotiations to lift sanctions, stating that Iran is the only country among the parties to the JCPOA that has adhered to all its commitments for a long time.

"If there is the necessary resolution on the American side, the possibility of returning all parties to the JCPOA can be provided," He concluded.

At least 25,900 people have been killed and 64,110 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
