The Iran-Turkmenistan Children's Friendship Week began at the State Puppet Theater in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, with the participation of diplomats, Iranian and Turkmen children, and cultural officials.

Iran Press/Asia:  According to the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the opening ceremony was attended by diplomats from various countries.

Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, Iran’s ambassador to Turkmenistan, emphasized the importance of children in both Islamic teachings and the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He expressed hope that this initiative, co-hosted by Iran’s Ministry of Education and the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, along with Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education, would pave the way for significant bilateral cooperation in the field of children’s development.

Navid Rasouli, Iran’s cultural attaché, highlighted the historical and cultural ties between Iran and Turkmenistan. He noted that the primary goal of the Children’s Friendship Week is to introduce these shared cultural values to Turkmen children, foster bonds of friendship and affection between Iranian and Turkmen children, and deliver a message of peace and friendship from the Iranian people to Turkmenistan.

Dovran Adyev, the head of the State Puppet Theater of Turkmenistan, congratulated both countries on this joint event and called for expanded bilateral cooperation in areas concerning children’s cultural development.

The event aims to strengthen cultural ties between the neighboring nations through educational and artistic initiatives, promoting shared values and lasting friendships among the younger generations.
