Iran Press/Iran news: Addressing parliament in a session on Sunday, Ghalibaf condemned the resolution as unjustified and divisive, accusing the United States and three European countries of undermining constructive dialogue.
Political Exploitation of the IAEA
In his speech, Ghalibaf stated that the resolution, which targets Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, reflects a "politically unrealistic and destructive approach" by Western powers. He accused the U.S., France, Germany, and the U.K. of using Iran’s nuclear activities as a pretext for their own "illegitimate actions" and of tarnishing the IAEA's credibility and independence.
“Their dishonesty and bad faith have disrupted the constructive atmosphere we were building for strengthened cooperation between Iran and the agency,” Ghalibaf asserted.
Iran’s Countermeasures Underway
In response, Ghalibaf revealed that Iran has initiated the deployment of advanced centrifuge systems. “These politically charged and nonconstructive decisions force countries to take measures outside the IAEA protocols to safeguard their national security,” he warned.
He also called on independent nations and IAEA member states to oppose Western dominance over the agency, urging the return to a nonpolitical framework for international nuclear cooperation. “The path forward must respect commitments and foster genuine interaction,” he said.
Israel’s Isolation Deepens Amid ICC Arrest Warrants
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ghalibaf welcomed the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) recent issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and minister for military affairs Yoav Gallant. Describing the decision as historic, he declared it a significant step toward holding Israel accountable for war crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.
“This marks the beginning of a global reckoning for the leaders of the illegitimate Zionist regime,” Ghalibaf said. “Their crimes of genocide and ongoing atrocities can no longer be concealed by U.S.-backed media outlets.”
