Iran Press/Iran news: In an interview with the Lebanese al-Mayadeen news network, Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Iran will sue US President Donald Trump on charges of carrying out economic, military and cultural terrorism against the country.
Iran's Foreign Minister added that the assassination of Lieutenant-General Qasem Soleimani, that happened by the direct order of Trump on January 3, was an act of state terrorism.
“Trump is currently accused of economic terrorism against the Iranian people, and of sponsoring cultural terrorism,” said the official, adding: “He has threatened to hit Iran’s cultural sites and is also accused of state terrorism,” Zarif said.
“Iran will start legal proceedings against Trump on these three charges. At the present time, Trump is recognized to have committed these three crimes before the [world’s] public opinion,” Zarif noted adding: “We will pursue this issue with other [international legal] authorities.”
Iran’s top diplomat went on to say that by doing this terrorist action, Trump put an end to the presence of the United States in the region.
Zarif further called Lieutenant-General Soleimani’s assassination as a cowardly terrorist act by the US, saying: “A government, which is not courageous enough to fight a commander [on the battlefield] has to martyr him through a cowardly terrorist operation…. Americans and the Zionist regime always act like this.”
Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), were martyred in US airstrikes in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on January 3, upon Donald Trump’s direct order.

US more Zionist than Israel itself
Pointing to the US scheme so-called ‘Deal of the Century’, Zarif noted: “The US showed all the Arab countries of our region that it is not the one, who could be trusted with the intermediary role in the conflict between Arabs and the Zionist regime.”
“The US is more Zionist than the Zionist regime itself,” the Iranian Foreign Minister said, adding that the US plan actually gives the Zionists more concessions than all that they had asked for anytime before.
By backing Israeli annexation of Palestinian lands and denying Palestinians their rights, Donald Trump only perpetuated the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Iran as a true supporter of Palestinians has redoubled its diplomatic efforts to counter the much-vaunted 'Deal of the Century' as Donald Trump unveiled his so-called Middle East peace plan in a White House launch on January 28.
All Palestinian political parties have unanimously denounced and rejected the ‘Deal of the Century’.
