Tehran (IP) - The head of the export development office of the vice-commercial of the Ministry of Agriculture announced plans to export citrus fruits to China.

Iran PressIran news: Moharram Soltani, Head of the Export Development Office of the Ministry of Agriculture, said: "According to the agreement was inked between Iran and China; Iran's citrus is supposed to be exported to the country."

He announced the production of 700,000 tons of citrus in excess of the needs in the country and added that the Chinese market is a good opportunity for the export of Iranian citrus.

Referring to citrus exports to neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf area, Soltani added: "This year, citrus exports have increased by 130 percent compared to last year."
