Damascus(IP): The Prime Minister of Syria stressed the implementation of the memorandums signed with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The Islamic Republic of Iran has strategic cooperation with Syria, and Tehran's support for the legitimate government of this country during the Syrian crisis and assistance to the government of Bashar al-Assad in the process of fighting against various terrorist groups is proof of this.

After the defeat of ISIS, the relations between Syria and Iran have now expanded and diversified, and there are clear prospects for the development of these relations in all fields.

According to Iran press, Syrian Prime Minister Hossein Arnous said in a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to that country Hossein Akbari on Monday that the Syrian government is eager to take all measures to develop bilateral cooperation with Tehran and remove obstacles to this cooperation.

The Syrian Prime Minister also pointed to the importance of launching joint projects in line with the national interests of the two countries and added that Damascus is trying to create new horizons for cooperation with Tehran in all fields.

The ambassador of Iran in Damascus also announced the willingness and readiness of many Iranian companies to operate in the Syrian market and support its vital sectors and said that Iran will provide any solution to support the Syrian economy to deal with Western sanctions and remove the blockade of this country will continue to help.

The development of cooperation in energy, transportation, trade, and banking exchanges and increasing the level of coordination in various economic fields are among the other items of the conversation between the Syrian Prime Minister and the Iranian ambassador.204
