Damascus (IP) - The Comprehensive Program of Strategic and Long-Term Cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Syrian Arab Republic and 14 other cooperation documents were signed by the Presidents and high officials of the two countries, during the two-day visit, earlier this month.

Iran PressMiddle East: At his first press conference in Damascus, Hossein Akbari told reporters that Iran and Syria would soon sign agreements in six economic and industrial areas, which can create suitable ways for further cooperation.

A framework of the executive mechanism (or the supreme consortium) has been supposed to be formed and followed up daily until the agreements signed between Iran and Syria come to fruition, Akbari said.

Pointing to the fact that Iran and Syria signed their first strategic comprehensive plan, the ambassador noted that the two countries managed to pass the arrogant powers' cruel sanctions through their resistance and the economic pressure could not underline the stances of the two side's leaders.

The regional, global, and Arab world's support for renewing relations with Iran and Syria is a strong fact that proves the failure of the political and economic pressures of the two countries enemies.
