West Asia(IP): In a phone call with his Syrian counterpart, Iran's foreign minister condemned the terrorist attack on the military college in Homs province, Syria.

Iran PressWest Asia: Yesterday (on Thursday), terrorist groups attacked the graduation ceremony of the military college officers in Homs province (western Syria) with drone attacks.

The Syrian government announced the death toll of this terrorist attack at 80 and the number of wounded at 240 which was later reported to increase to 100 dead.

In this regard and according to Iran Press news agency, "Hossein Amir-Abdollahian", Iranian Minsiter of Foreign Affair, in a telephone conversation with " Faisal Mekdad", Foreign Minister of Syria, while condemning the terrorist attack on the military college in Homs province, He expressed his condolences to the Syrian government, army and the resistant people of this attack and expressed his sympathy to the survivors.

While thanking the Iranian Foreign Minister for his phone call, the Syrian Foreign Minister gave explanations regarding the dimensions of the terrorist attack on the graduation ceremony of the Syrian army officers in Homs province.

Faisal Mekdad considered terrorist groups supported by the United States to be behind such actions.

In this dialogue, the parties emphasized the need for the serious determination of the international community and the cooperation of the countries of the region for a decisive and effective fight against the sinister phenomenon of terrorism.

Also, "Nasser Kanaani", the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, expressed his condolences to the Syrian government, nation and army, as well as all the families and survivors of this terrorist attack, and prayed for a speedy recovery for the injured.

Kanaani blamed the foreign supporters of terrorist groups for this tragic event and asked the responsible international institutions, especially the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill their responsibilities in this regard.
