Iran summons Swiss Envoy over US\' provoking acts in Persian Gulf

Tehran (IP) - Iran has summoned the Swiss Ambassador to Tehran over the US Navy's provoking acts in the Persian Gulf.

Iran PressIran News: The Spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said: "Tehran has officially presented a letter to  Swiss ambassador, in which Iran strongly protested the US Navy's threats and its destabilizing acts near Iranian boats in the Persian Gulf."

Mousavi said the US is reminded in the letter to observe the international navigating rules and warned that in case of any US threat or illegal action in the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea, Iran will show a reaction.

He condemned the US President’s provocative posts in the Social Media on Wednesday and said: "Instead of projecting and adventurism, Trump had better dispatch the Navy to help control the coronavirus outbreak which has made the US the most infected country in the world."

The reaction by Iran's Foreign Ministry and other reactions such as Mohammad Javad Zarif's tweet and other Iranian political and military figures' reaction, came as the US President Donald Trump tweeted that he had instructed the United States Navy to shoot down and destroy any and all Iranian gunboats if they harass the US ships at sea.
