Tehran (IP) - Islamic Republic of Iran Revolutionary Guard corpse (IRGC) Aerospace Forces announced a successful launch of the 'Qaem-100' satellite carrier on Saturday.

Iran PressIran News:  Qaem 100 is a three-stage solid fuel suborbital Sattelite carrier.

Qaem -100 (Qa'im-100) is a homegrown satellite carrier designed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard corpse Aerospace Division, capable of putting satellites weighing up to 80 kilograms into orbit 500 kilometers from the earth's surface.

The test launch was carried out in the presence of the Commander of the Aerospace Forces of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and a group of officials of the country's armed forces on Saturday.

In the neer future, the 'Nahid' satellite will be put into orbit using the 'Qaem- 100' solid fuel satellite carrier, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said.

The IRGC launched the first Iranian military satellite, Noor-I, in April 2020.

In March, the IRGC Aerospace Force launched its second homegrown satellite, Noor-II, into an Earth orbit.

The homegrown satellite was launched with a three-stage satellite carrier dubbed Qased.
