Tehran (IP): The spokesperson of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemning the US and British aggression on several Yemeni cities, stated that these military attacks are carried out in line with the continuation of supporting the war crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian nation.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Foreign Ministry Nasser Kanaani on Friday (January 12) strongly condemned the US and British attacks on several Yemeni cities and called it an arbitrary action, a clear violation of Yemen's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and also a violation of international laws and regulations.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: "These military attacks are carried out in line with the continuation of the full support by the United States and the United Kingdom for the past hundred days of the Zionist regime's war crimes against the Palestinian nation and the oppressed citizens under the complete siege of the Gaza Strip."

Emphasizing that these attacks will have no result other than fueling insecurity and instability in the region, he stated: "While the Zionist regime continues its attacks and war crimes in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in Palestine, the United States and the UK are trying to draw the attention of the people of the world from the crimes of this fake, criminal and aggressor regime by expanding their support for the Zionist regime."

Expressing his concern about the consequences of the repetition of such attacks for regional and international peace and security, Kanaani called on the international community to prevent the spread of war, instability and insecurity in the region with responsible reactions.

The United States and Britain launched strikes against targets of the Ansarullah Houthi group in Yemen early today. An American official told Al Jazeera that the strikes targeted radar sites, drone platforms, missiles, and coastal monitoring sites, noting that the operation had ended, “but we reserve the right to respond if the threats continue.”

The official confirmed that the US-British strikes against the Houthi sites in Yemen hit their targets, and a US defense official indicated to Al Jazeera that the strikes against the Houthi sites in Yemen involved ships, warplanes, and submarines. 219
