Tehran(IP): Foreign Ministers of Iran and Spain stressed on the development of bilateral relations on the phone.

Iran PressIran news:  According to the General Department of Information and Spokesperson Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares Bueno discussed and exchanged views on the most important bilateral issues in a telephone call with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Tuesday.

Referring to the recent parliamentary elections in Spain, Amir-Abdollahian emphasized the importance of expanding relations between Iran and Spain.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic also discussed the process of dialogue and cooperation between Iran and the European Union, recalling Spain's rotating presidency of the European Union.

Albares also welcomed the expansion of cooperation between the two countries, referring to the historical relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Spain.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, recalling the fields of cooperation between Spain and Iran, emphasized his country's readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Examining the latest status of consular cooperation between Iran and Spain has been announced as one of the other issues raised in the telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
