Tehran (IP) - Iran has set a deadline for Iraq to disarm the anti-Iranian armed groups in the north of this country, and now the Iranian ambassador says that Baghdad has asked for more time.

Iran PressMiddle East: "Iran has given more than 70 documents to Baghdad, which proves that terrorist forces are present in the north of this country, so the Islamic Republic has given Iraqis 10 days to disarm them," Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Mohammed Kazem Al Sadegh said.

Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Mohammed Kazem Al Sadeq, in an interview with Al-Alam, said: "Israel's Mossad targeted our vital facilities in Kermanshah through Iraq's Kurdistan."

At the same time, the Iranian ambassador denied any Iranian ground operations in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

Al-Sadegh also emphasized that Iran agreed with the federal government of Iraq and the local government of the Kurdistan Region to deploy Iraqi forces on the borders, but the agreement was not implemented yet.

In another interview with Al-Ahd TV, Iran's ambassador had earlier said that "in the negotiations with the Iraqi side, we asked the government of this country to set a timetable for the disarmament of the opponents of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Al-Sadegh noted that Iran demanded the disarmament of the opposition and returned them to the camps as refugees.

He also noted that the Iranian and Iraqi sides discussed the exchange of wanted persons based on the MoU between the two countries.

Earlier on Monday, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi warned that as long as the conspiracy against the Islamic Republic by the separatist groups based in the Kurdistan Region continues, the attacks of the IRGC will continue.

Several positions of anti-Iran separatist and terrorist groups in northern Iraq have come under fresh combined attacks using missiles and kamikaze drones.
